Many a times, people asked what is Christianity. Is it a religion? Today, I as a young chrisitian would attempt to explain what is Christianity through an interesting way:
In the age of the internet, God is just like a router. We are like a laptop with the network card. As christians, we have a direct relationship with God, just like the network card to the router. Thus, we can receive and send information direct to God, without the need for a third party to be present.
When we backslide, we start to lose the connection/relationship/intimacy that we have with God. This is akin to 'Network not Found' in the internet age. Usually, pressing the 'refresh network list' button would work. Similarly, we would have to refresh our thoughts, in that sense, and seek re-establishment with God and get 'connected' back to him.
The Bible is our technical help booklet and the Pastor and pastoral staff is like the technical helpdesk staff, waiting to assist you with your lost connection.
Some people decided to change their faith and in that sense, change their 'network card' or network operator. This results them in connecting to the wrong network. But just like any operators, those who changed their 'network card' would realize eventually that the other operators have poorer reception and the price plan is more expensive but the GOOD NEWS is that you can change back to this network and get connected again! And God never makes you sign a contract to be on his network!!!
So choose the right network and enjoy one that is of better value (you do not have to buy any offerings or burn incense as a Christian), higher speed (prayers do get answer very quickly), better customer service (pastors help you instaneously) and of course a network where everything is laid out nicely for you.
